Artist Statement

Color and simplicity have been the hallmarks of Jay Nielsens' seventeen years working as a metalsmith. He uses fabrication in high karat gold, fine and sterling silver with precious and semi-precious stones.....All works done by hand.....shaping, cutting and connecting the metals, then applying the stones. Jay's work is shown in eight galleries throughout the country and he has earned awards from many national art fairs....
